Still driving HVAC with belts?

Do you still have those noisy Air Handling Units (AHU) with belt driven fans? How much maintenance attention does that require, apart from the energy bill and the chances of a failure? Already in 2012 at Siemens I presented the advantages of direct drive ventilation internally and how to build that into the AHU, because we had so many clients with old belt driven AHU’s, which transform only 43% of the electrical energy into air flow. With direct drive configurations, it can be 57%. If you want to save space in your machine room, less noise, less failure risk, less maintenance and 33% more energy in your air flow, then subscribe to the newsletter, where I will present an article about how to save energy with Air Handling Units.
